Feel free to loosen the rhythms of the straight quarter note passages to be syncopated like some of the other phrases, especially if you're singing solo. I flattened some of the phrases out a little because working with a choir, sometimes it's hard to get the whole group to sing syncopated rhythms consistently, especially when you've got lots of other songs to go through in any given rehearsal.
