This concerto grosso was arranged for a concert with my young-string-orchestra. Children from 10 to 14 will love to play it. I added an extra easy violin3/viola for the younger ones. All the music contains the bowings and dynamics that help children to make a good performance.
This is a good old-fashioned waltz based on memories of many
years spent in the orchestra-pit performing for the traditional British pantomimes. This is in the same style as the waltz I played countless times in Cinrarella. The bass tune in the middle section is supposed to represent the two ugly sisters' entrance. This piece is very popular with pupils.
