Veni, Veni, Emmanuel (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel) is one of the oldest Advent hymns still in regular use among most Christian denominations. The original text is based on the ninth-century "O" Antiphons. These were seven antiphons sung one per night in the week preceding Christmas. This little-known piece is from Tchaikovsky's set of 16 Songs for Children, Op.54. It has a haunting theme and is a personal favourite amongst the Christmas Carol repertoire.

This arrangement features a supplemental third violin part with an additional bass part for use with string orchestra.
