Icarus for piano solo is a virtuoso showcase, composed in 1990 for pianist William Koseluk. Icarus was performed most recently at the Santa Barbara Chamber Music Festival (2004) by pianist Edith Orloff.
Fern Hill, for chorus and piano (poem by Dylan Thomas) was composed in 1983, and revised in 2007. This SATB setting features several opportunities for soloists from within the chorus, and the piano provides the colorful and pastoral landscape that the poet paints in his tribute to childhood.
