The ABC Clarinet Series provides useful material for the young learner. The lastest addition to the series is Stepping Down, a set of 12 concert pieces for clarinet and piano for the elementary player. These low-register pieces only assume knowledge of the left-hand (middle C to A) and the pieces help to gradually increase the players range downwards through B, Bb, A and G.

 

The material links in with the ABC Clarinet Tutor with some extended tunes and new material. Also available is A Rocking Week which helps develop good technique for rocking onto the “A” key.

The most beautiful Hymn of all! I‘ve sung it at weddings and funerals (actually I can hardly ever sing it as it chokes me up). The original, “Long Since in Egypt’s Pleasant Land” was part of the Parry’s Oratorio “Judith”, with these words added later by John Whittier.

I wrote this version for my own wedding and it has been used at many others. As you will hear, the audience need to me musical or have some sort of direction as there ...

This glorious anthem stirs many a heart. Add to that 10 brass instruments and I’m in heaven! Very popular as wedding music (for which this arrangement was made) and increasingly popular at other events. It may be performed as a concert piece or as an accompaniment for singers.

New for 2008 Saxophones is an arrangement of Personent Hodie or you can choose from two traditional Carol arrangements for quartet:
God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen or Huron Carol which is a Canadian Carol. If you fancy a baroque flavour there is a transcription of Handel's Unto us a Son is born from The Messiah

For a more modern feel, why not board the Santa Express for saxophone sextet or for 2 Altos and Piano. There is also a transcription for Piano Duet.

For Clarinets there is a new ensemble piece, Dasher and Dancer, for 5 Bb Clarinets and Bass Clarinet.

For Wind Band you will find a new Fanfare and Descant to O Come, All Ye Faithful with the complete carol scored for Band. The Brass Fanfare is also available seperately. Featuring two Solo Trumpets, you will find an arrangement of Samuel Scheidt's In Dulci Jubilo, especially good in a resonant acoustic.

For Choirs there are three original Carols available (and they are FREE). 2000 years is for young voices. A Christmas Message has been performed by ages from 7 to 16 and divides into 3 parts. The New Religion subtitled A Shoppers' Carol is for 2 part ladies/boys voices.
