The ABC Clarinet Series provides useful material for the young learner. The lastest addition to the series is Stepping Down, a set of 12 concert pieces for clarinet and piano for the elementary player. These low-register pieces only assume knowledge of the left-hand (middle C to A) and the pieces help to gradually increase the players range downwards through B, Bb, A and G.
The material links in with the ABC Clarinet Tutor with some extended tunes and new material. Also available is A Rocking Week which helps develop good technique for rocking onto the “A” key.

A Christmas Message - composed for a schools' Carol Festival in 1995, the choir splits into 3 parts but this is quite manageable even by young choirs in the verses. The chorus is in harmony (mostly 2 part) but this is harder to get together and the harmonies may be ignored if need be. Accompaniments are available scored for Wind Band or various chamber ensembles.
The score is free and I am keen to hear of any performances
A song of lost love! Suitable for male or female young voices - intended for teenage choirs. Ideally needs a sandpaper block backing (quaver pulse) - not hi-hat or shakers - needs to be entirley accent-free - use stops at appropriate moments. I'll do a part if anyone requests one.

For Wind Band you will find a new Fanfare and Descant to O Come, All Ye Faithful with the complete carol scored for Band. The Brass Fanfare is also available seperately. Featuring two Solo Trumpets, you will find an arrangement of Samuel Scheidt's In Dulci Jubilo, especially good in a resonant acoustic.
For Choirs there are three original Carols available (and they are FREE). 2000 years is for young voices. A Christmas Message has been performed by ages from 7 to 16 and divides into 3 parts. The New Religion subtitled A Shoppers' Carol is for 2 part ladies/boys voices.
