"I Saw Three Ships" is a romp through the tune in vigorous variations with some newly composed melodic material to give you a short rest before taking up the frenzied dance. Like? This is one of many available carol arrangements for string quartet.

"Many and Great" is a beautiful, haunting Dakota melody set here with a quiet, melodically and rhythmically independent (mostly) accompaniment. The accompaniment recalls subtly the open fifth sound you usually hear in "Indian music" accompaniments. Here, it is transformed into something evoking more of mystery than dance rhythm.
