This piece is the last movement of the last sonata for organ by Mendelssohn. It is here arranged for two treble instruments and a bass instrument and transposed up a second to A major. The top part is for flute or violin, the middle for clarinet or violin, the bass for bassoon or cello. The piano part is newly composed and in no way part of the original.
