I grew up in a suburb of Houston, Texas. I am a freshman at the University of Texas in Austin majoring in oboe performance and liberal arts honors. I enjoy composing and playing the oboe and piano. I went to Texas All-State my sophomore and senior years on oboe. I played oboe in the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra for 2 seasons and was a member of Virtuosi of Houston my senior year in high school. During the summer of 2004 I attended the American Festival of the Arts, double majoring in orchestra and compostition. During the summer of 2005 I attended Interlochen Arts Camp in band and Advanced Oboe Institute. During the summer of 2006 I again attended the American Festival of the Arts, majoring in composition.
