Philip J. Anderson
I was born in 1977 and from the age of four I was learning the piano. I first picked up a cornet when I was eight and joined the Amersham Band and the Amersham Music Centre.
After my A-levels I changed from the cornet to the euphonium and went to the University of Manchester and the University of Bristol, gaining a MusB and an MA.
My main interests lie in brass (and wind) bands. I currently play Solo Baritone with the Cinderford Band (in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire) and I am the Musical Director with the Sharpness and District Silver Band. I teach Brass, Piano and Theory privately and repair brass instruments and in my spare time I like to arrange and compose music.
