Robert Cowan
Robert Cowan first began on the track of music in 1993 when he began playing the piano at the age of 9. When he moved to secondary school he began to take an interest in Brass and began to learn the Cornet. In later years he began to try out the Euphonium and Trombone. On 1st July he took up his current position of Bandmaster of the Band of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Battalion Army Cadet Force, Royal Regiment of Scotland, having previously been the Band Sergeant Major, and Senior Drum Major, Pipes and Drums ACF Scotland and North England. He is also a Lieutenant with the Boys Brigade in Tulliallan, and Staff Arranger to the Central Band, BB Scotland. He has recently been appointed as Principal Director of Music for the 125th Anniversary Tattoo for the Boys' Brigade.
