Married to Melinda Niekum, anthropologist (field: Ancient Sogdian peoples).
Editorial Coordinator for the Charles Ives Society since 1999.
Compositions for chamber ensemble, orchestra, keyboard and magnetic tape.
Member of the Direct Image Ensemble (DIE), 1974-79, and Readymade, 1981-82.
Editions of Ives include the Third Orchestral Set (1st & 2nd mvts.), chamber Sets, piano works, the Overture in G Minor, the "Emerson" Piano Concerto, "The General Slocum," and parts of the "Universe" Symphony.
Major radio programs on Ives's music and writings produced for Pacifica Radio 1982 & 1990-91.
