I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music degree; I studied composition in my third and fourth years there with Nigel Osborne. The compositions on this site (I'm inputting a few more into Sibelius at the moment) are all pieces written for certain occasions; a New Year party, a CD launch, a minister's installation at a church and, last but not least, my own wedding! 'Encanta's Aria' was adapted from a little piece I wrote about ten years ago; it was used in the play 'Ways Of Making You Talk' in the 2007 Dublin Fringe Festival. The two pieces with Irish titles were written for my sister's wedding in November 2007.
