"Within the Walls..." was originally composed for a benefits concert in Kuwait for the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1995. It was revised for a Vienna performance (at the Konzerthaus) in 1997 as another benefits event for Karlheinz Böhm's charity Menschen fuer Menschen. The piece is a symphonic poem for solists (soprano, tenor and descant), SA children's choir and orchestra. Rock Transposed Back Into Classical
Although the chord changes here are simple, this music displays more emotion than most efforts. The part-writing is superb, and one is absorbed into the acherontic beauty of the piece.
