Fugue a la Gigue arr. for Saxophone Quartet - quartet (of the same instrument) by J S Bach arr. Rodney Parker (Dorset Wind Music)

Bach's Fugue a la Gigue has captured the hearts of instrumentalists for centuries so here is a fresh approach for Saxophone Quartet. I toyed with the idea of changing the key to make it simpler for saxes but it didn't sound right in anything but G Major concert! The dynamics are generally mine as Bach was always a bit short on these, leaving this element to the performers' choice. I guess its a piece you could play for any occasion as an outgoing piece or as a showpiece encore to a programme.
