Romance for Clarinet and Piano (2007) - solo instrument & piano by Kevin Riley
A short reflective piece for Clarinet and Piano. No real problems at this grade really.

Is That All There Is?
This delightfully simple and direct piece left me feeling cheated - in the best possible way. I wanted more. It's too short.
The simple clarinet melody soars languidly over the gentle balanced piano accompaniment and evokes an air of slightly Edwardian nostalgia. You can write for clarinet very well.

Nice little work
Romance for Clarinet & Piano is a good little work for Solo Clarinet & Piano, and would suit young and older players alike looking for something not too taxing for their concert programme.
Would make an excellent ABRSM piece.
I found the major 7th at the end a little tiresome!
