This piece represents the ticking chime clock, I heard when I was a child, in my parent's study, in our house in the highlands of Scotland. I would sit on the large sofa near the large French windows and let the summer sun shine, streaming through the window, fall on to my face. I would then nap and fall into a dream, to the sound of the ticking clock which would chime out the hour, alway on time.
