Not a bad Idea?
I think that allowing the public to be exposed to the great music written by Faure easily is very good and by changing the instrumentation this allows the score to be played by a school band etc. How ever, even though this particular version is not at all bad in any sense, personally I feel that the music was written by that composer as he wrote it and I personally doubt that Faure ar any other composer actually likes the idea of their work being 'arranged'. Having said that, it has been arranged well, and I hope that many people will use it to try to widen their experiances and get even closer to the original, very moving requiem itself M.S.
