Sweet & Low arr. for TTBB - piano & vocal by Sir Joseph Barnby (1838-1896) arr. Rodney Parker (Dorset Wind Music)
Here's a quiet, reflective number for your programmes. Use as much sentimentality and rubato as you wish. If the 'A' is too high for your 1st Tenors in measure 7, the whole thing could be dropped a tone.
Joseph Barnaby was a prolific Victorian vocal composer. He was director of music at Eton College and The Guildhall School of Music in London. He was knighted in 1892.
