Short Hymn (1999) - solo instrument by Jim Paterson
The origins of this style stem from my teenage years as organist at the local church. It has a simple verse and chorus form, with the chorus serving as the work's anchor. The subtitle "The Minute Hymn" arises not because it is very small but because, at the quoted metronome mark, it is exactly one minute long. Any suggestions for the lyrics?
