Battle of the Misfits (2003) - orchestra by Peter Felice

I wrote this piece, entirely before I named it. Then a friend and I sat around trying to come up with names. What made it so hard, was the change of moods that kept occurring. However, I had every intent of changing the moods that much. Finally, I came up with the most "fitting" name "Battle of the Misfits" (no pun intended).

A truely excellent piece of music
This is truely an excellent piece of music. I love the driving, unrelenting pulse of the piece. I would be very interested in seeing a concert band or marching band transcription of this piece as it would work with both mediums very well. Keep up the good work.

Good.
This was some kickin' orchestral work. Very very good.... my only beef actually is the ending. I didn't feel like there was enough lead up to it. It was really good but I would have liked a bit more of a lead up. Nice job tho! :)

Amazing
I know I'm a little late in a review for this peice, but I figured why have six ego boosts when you can have seven, am I right? This peice just blew me away. Its a great modern peice, great dissonance work while not straying to far away from making tonal sense. It was exciting to listen to, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. And what about that kick @$$ woodwind work at measures 165-166? Great stuff, keep it up. Taylor
