Heroic Deeds (2000) - orchestra by Jim Paterson
This orchestral work follows established film music traditions as a heroic overture or main title. The main theme in 12/8 time is the "action" theme, and this is supported by a contrasting middle section in 4/4 time depicting the qualities which underpin the hero's "character". The overall mood should be optimistic.
