Irrational Rose (2001) - solo instrument by Jim Paterson
This piece originated from a sketch based on a sequence of interchangeable chords. It is designed to be predictable in its broad form, yet unpredictable in its detail and with an ambiguity as to key (hence the word "irrational" in the title). It should be played freely, shifting subtly in both tempo and mood.
