A Little Blues Please (1986) - big band by Sammy Nestico (Sammy Nestico Music)

A LITTLE BLUES, PLEASE
This is an easy version of the blues, with a slightly different harmonic approach. Choose the instruments you wish to play the solos (optionally written). Almost all of the work in the arrangement are performed by sections rather than ensemble. It doesn?t call for much dynamic range or technique?just good time featuring individual solos and sections.

A Little Birthday Party Please Sammy?
This popular score by Sammy Nestico wins because of it simple contruct and the mood it captues, which matches perfectly with the title "A Little Blues Please". The blues mood is captured without oversupplying blues notes, or resorting to note bending trickery. The tune and arrangement is simple like the mood it conveys to the listener. My only wish is that some sample solos or soli be added as a kind of birthday party for the song. The score does not need it to remain a top rating score, but lay 'Scorch' listeners might enjoy it, rather than wonder what the composer would prefer to fill the gaps. Happy 20th birthday anyway...good on ya Sammy.
