The Queen of Schmooze (2003) - big band by Sammy Nestico (Sammy Nestico Music)
THE QUEEN OF SCHMOOZE
In maintaining a ?jazz feel,? eighth notes are not played strictly. They must have a ?lazy? feel. When playing two consecutive eighth note, the second one is delayed. Although dynamics, tempo and sound are of utmost importance, the feel of the jazz idiom remains primary. Much care has been taken in the construction of this arrangement to meet this goal.

Nice tune.
I like the simplicity in this arrangement, much like most of your works (of which I'm a big fan). I always like the colorful and open sound of your tunes. I'd like to hear it live to really get the full effect since midi seems to be the bane of our existance as composers. I keep having these issues with getting the midi/playback to sound exactly how I want it, but then I recall it's only a computer after all. Maybe I haven't figured it out yet. In any case, I enjoyed it. Take care.
-Mike.
