Two-Part Invention #8 - duet (of the same instrument) by J. S. Bach arr. Letitia Berlin
This arrangement of the two-part invention #8 by J. S. Bach is intended as an etude for my recorder students, but it is also a good piece for a duo program.

Would sound lovely as flute duet
Lovely scoring and very clever idea! I've enjoyed this piece as a pianist. Bach would have certainly approved with the concept.

Portable Bach!
We can only be thankful to Tish Berlin for presenting this arrangement of a fantastic Bach composition that works well on recorders. Please note that the current playback has the lower part an octave higher than it would be using an alto recorder. It is a measure of Bach's greatness as a composer that the piece still sounds great with the inverted harmonies! I would recommend the use of a very mellow sweet soprano (yes, there are such beasts) in order not to be too shrieking on the upper tessitura. Perhaps Tish would also present the piece for A/T?
