Bramstedter Marsch! (Wind Band) (2003) - wind/brass band by Philip R Buttall (PRB Music)
Bramstedter Marsch! was originally written for solo flute and clarinet, with piano accompaniment.
I have been asked to arrange this for Wind Band, and have done so here. It is very similar to the original, with a little tweaking of the repeats.
The attached MP3 file features a brand new CD recording of the piece. Click here for further details!

Flute Clarinet feature
This march has all the musical nuances that make a march great plus an added bonus.....solo flute and clarinets are featured with fun interplay between the two parts. This should be a crowd pleaser! Be sure to listen to the mp3 recording.
Familiar Trio
Following on from the previous review, I think the trio is the German song Muss I Denn, or "Wooden Heart" as it is may be more familiarly known from Joe Dowell's Elvis-like recording of 1961.
Cracking!
What a cracking march from from Philip, I loved the woodwind at B and the piccolo and clarinet at the trio!
Having worked in Germany for over 10 years, as a member of a British Army military band, there was something vaguely familiar about the trio melody, but I cannot put my finger on it!
Thank you subsequent reviewers for e-mailing me about the name of the melody in the trio! It was bugging me!
