Toccata pour Orgue (1986) - solo instrument by Edward Marsh
A great encore piece inspired by Duruflé's famous 'Toccata' from his suite for organ! The theme and opening, based on the 'Te Deum' plainchant, later expands and exposes a more contemporary and pseudo-secular plainsong melody. This work has been used for teaching and also interpreting 20th century French repertoire at the St Giles Organ School, London.

Stunning
This is an absolutely stunning piece in the style of the great french masters such as Durufle, Langlais, and Alain. The development of the themes is superb.
This is JUST beautiful!
This piece is so exquisitely written!
I happend to find about it on the Organ Forum.
Its too bad that this site is not talked about much among Organists in America, because im sure there are some gems liek this Toccata on here.
I just can't believe how much it sounds like the Durufle and is so much more accessible. Great for a church organist that does the occasional concert a few times year.
MORE!
how about something in the style of the Vierne 6th Symphony Finale thats accessible?!
