Ballade (1978) - solo instrument by James Mackie
This was written by me as a student exercise. It starts in G minor and later modulates into the key of C minor, the subdominant. It should be played with passion because it is a romantic piece. I would class the piece as being from grade 7 to 8 - Diploma level. After reviewing this piece which I found in a drawer, I was persuaded by a pianist friend to publish it.
