Samba..alla Turca! (Pops Orchestra) (2005) - mixed ensemble by Mozart arr. Philip R Buttall (PRB Music)

Last year, I was contacted by Ron Armstrong, MD of the Southampton Pops Orchestra, here in the UK, to ask whether I could make an arrangement of The Lone Ar-ranger! for his players, which I was delighted to do.

The Southampton Pops Orchestra has just released a brand new CD, Celebrations, which includes The Lone Ar-ranger! For further details, and to order the CD, please click here... (more)

Encore!
Amazing! I'm shocked. Browsing the site I came across Samba Alla Turca for piano. I loved it so much, I looked for more arrangements, and lo and behold, I found this. This piece is absolutely incredible, somehow you can fit approx. 30 instruments together and sound...I can't even find the words. So much happens in this piece and yet, the listener doesn't miss any of it. I had to listen to it 3 times just to appreciate it fully. The melody is wonderful, the instrumentation is stunning and the beat is excellent. Who could imagine that Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca would sound so good...with bongos no less..... Please don't stop composing. If you do, I think I'll die from withdrawal symptons, and then have it played at my funeral!

Anytime
Anytime you want to set out the MP3 for this would be a time not soon enough. This an awesome peice. I have listend to the other Samba..Alla Turca!s and enjoyed them. This is, however, by far my favorite because it has so much going on. I am amazed at your talents. Please keep them coming.

Magnificent!
I have listened to all of Philip Buttall's Samba alla Turca pieces and this is the best yet. Philip has proved himself once again to be a magnificent composer! If Mozart heard this he would be dancing in his grave!
