christmas swing
I love christmas tunes that swing. This piece and "Santa's sacks" are fun tunes keeping Christmassy without becoming cliche' jazz numbers based on a Christmas theme. The meter in these two numbers is steady and almost perky, not the laid back jazz, open and highly accented music of Lenny Neihaus, but fun and upbeat. I think any one who wants a jazzed up Christmas without offending the straight Christmas audience these numbers will do. Santa's Saxes Play Baroque almost has a Rockin' American Gospel sound to it.
