"Si Hei Lwli" (pronounced "see hye loo-lee"), the Welsh equivalent of the English "Lu-ly, lu-lay," is the title of a number of lullabies. My work titled "Si Hei Lwli" originated on the morning after the birth of my son, in 1989. In fact, I "wrote" it while driving from the hospital to the house in order to check on the mail and get a little rest after a night of no sleep.
