Prelude from 'Te Deum' by Charpentier is the first of a new series in The Dorset Wind Music Store called 'The Dorset Wind Music Woodwind Ensemble Series'. The series has developed over many years of working with ensembles, mainly in schools, which never seem to have the same instrumentation! Always plenty of Flutes, Clarinets and Saxophones but rarely Bassoons or Oboes so parts for these instruments are included but not essential. The bass part of the arrangements can be played by a 'Cello or Bassoon, substituted or amplified in the lower octave by a simple Keyboard part. The 4th Clarinet also mainly plays the bass line which could be added to or substituted with a Bass Clarinet.
