Franz Schubert (1797-1828) is one of the best art song composers the world has seen, both in terms of quanitity (over 600 songs) and quality. Die Forelle (The Trout), D. 550, was written and edited 1817-1821, with the 1820 version being published as op. 32 in 1827. Very nice
Thank you Doctor taking the time to turn this lovely little piece into a melody for Baritone AND in treble clef. I have listened many times to the ensemble playing, but you have turned this into a great little number. Mind you, there is a problem in it, and that is how does one readily find the pianist who can play their lovely part. Thank you
