Pavane for Woodwind Ensemble - mixed ensemble by Faure arr. Rodney Parker (Dorset Wind Music)
Here is the second score in The Dorset Wind Music Woodwind Ensemble Series. The collection is fully explained in the first score of the series 'Prelude from Te Deum' on this site. The haunting melody of 'Pavane' is first introduced in the lower register of the flutes. The quaver accompaniment should always be 'sotto voce' and the semi-quavers/16ths in the melody should be played very short.
