Leah's Pavane (2003) - solo instrument by Donald Shabkie
A pavane was an early sacred dance of European origin. Generally in 4/4 time, it was always stately, with the name being derived from "peacock".
The French composers Faure and Ravel wrote more modern versions of this dance, and Leah's Pavane is written in the spirit of the French examples.
