Drummer Hodge (from Battle Cry: A Tragedy) (1984) - choir (with or without keyboard) by Garth Baxter (Voices of Training)
Drummer Hodge, based on a poem by Thomas Hardy, captures the tragedy of a young drummer boy's death during the Boer War. It is the fourth movement from the Cantata "Battle Cry: A Tragedy," which incorporates more of Hardy's poems to illustrate how war affects the lives of so many - the soldiers, the loved ones, and the innocents. NOTE: For one download you may make as many copies as you need for your choir. Please make another download for each additional choir.
