Sonatina 62 - brass quartet/quintet by Pezel arr. Ed Hirschman (Art of Sound Music)
Pezel Sonatina 62 for Brass Quintet is adapted from Pezel's Bicinia Variorum Instrumentorum, a 1675 collection of two-part pieces for various instruments, in this case for two clarini and basso continuo. Pezel was an excellent performer on the natural trumpet. He specialized in clarino (upper) register playing and probably performed the 1st trumpet part of these demanding works himself.
