Lyrical melodies and contemporary harmonies make this song a haunting delight. It is the first section of a piece named "Three Leaves on the Wind", and is based on a wonderful poem by Barbara Kupferberg, about the flames of inspiration. The song is written specially for a fine musical ensemble, "Windsong", in Northern Virginia.
