I agree. I't great..
I agree totally with the first review. This is more in the character of a transcription which preserves the character of the original aria in an instrumental version.
The midi playback sounds a little out of balance. This is not a problem with the arrangement. Perhaps a little attention to the mixer before uploading it would give the listener a better feel for how this piece would sound in a live performance.
The way it SHOULD be
I have no complaints about this arrangement, but felt it deserved a review, especially since it has none, currently! This piece has always been a favorite of mine, and Mr. Martin does a fantastic job arranging this piece the way it SHOULD be arranged. I have heard some really bad arrangements of Nessun Dorma, and this is NOT one of them. It uses every note as delicately as Puccini originally intended, and that is something that is often lost when arranging music. Sometimes it is good to break away from the original composer's ideas when doing an arrangement, but it should only be done when knowing what you are doing. I admire that this arranger did not stray to far away from the true character of the piece. Great job!
